Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
It was a beautiful day here on Hatteras Island. We had a high of 61F and winds out of the north-north-east from 10mph this morning, diminishing this afternoon and switching slightly to the east-north-east tonight.
The fishing was okay today. Avon had some puppy drum and sea mullet. There was also a citation drum caught. Buxton had black drum and puppy drum behind the motels. Pictured below is Scott Stevens with a nice 25″ puppy drum he caught behind the motels this morning. There were also some citation drum, puppy drum and bluefish caught around the Point. Frisco had some bluefish today. Hatteras had puppy drum, bluefish, black drum and sea mullet.
The inshore boats stayed to the docks today.
A few boats made it offshore today. They had good catches of wahoo and a few blackfin tuna and scattered albacore. Some bottomfished and caught triggerfish.
