Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Few clouds in the sky today but temperatures were up and in the low 50’s for most of the day and winds were from the North-East at 10-15 mph. Late in the afternoon there was a major change in the temperatures and winds. Winds shifted to the South-West and temperatures picked up to the low 60’s.
Fishing was good today. This morning in Buxton there was bluefish and puppy drum at the point and this afternoon some black drum and trout sowed up. Here in Frisco there was speckled trout at the pier along with some bluefish and sea-mullet.
No boats fished inshore today.
King mackerel fishing is still gong great offshore.

YETI HOPPER 20, 30, 40
Meet the YETI® Hopper™ 20, our ice-for-days portable cooler. No matter where you haul it — from the campsite to the boat deck — the DryHide™ Shell and nearly indestructible straps will stand up to an abundance of abuse in the field, while the HydroLok™ Zipper (a design borrowed from HazMat suits) is completely leakproof, eliminating spills and locking in cold. It can hold 18 cans, a limit of rainbow trout, or 20 pounds of ice. All in all, this is one soft cooler that’s anything but.
The YETI® Hopper™ 30 is the first 100% leakproof, portable cooler that’s built for the long haul and can keep ice for days. It’s reliable. It’s convenient. It’s easy to carry and designed for those on the go. It’s well-suited for days at the ranch, a BYOB dinner at The Salt Lick, or an afternoon on the water. Its DryHide™ Shell is puncture-resistant while the HydroLok™ Zipper is the best cooler zipper ever, period. The Hopper 30 can hold 24 cans (with the suggested 2:1 ice-to-contents ratio), six footlong subs, or four tubs of ice cream — a pretty impressive haul for just one cooler. But the Hopper’s not your ordinary soft-sided cooler — in fact, it’s anything but soft.
The YETI® Hopper™ 40 was designed to carry big food-and-beverage cargoes with ease. It has a carrying capacity of up to 36 cans with ice for longer excursions or larger groups. And it also has the same heavy-duty DryHide™ construction and leakproof HydroLok™ Zipper that make our soft-sided coolers anything but soft, plus up to 1.5 inches of ColdCell™ foam insulation to keep ice for days. Take the Hopper 40 with you to the bonfire, to the mountains, on your next hunting trip, or anytime you need to carry a larger load in a portable package.
