Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today was sunny and windy. The winds were from the south-west at 15-25 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s.
Out at Cape Point in Buxton there were yearling drum, sea mullet and bluefish on lures. Around the Buxton beaches and the jetties small stripers and flounder were reported. Over on the Frisco beach sheeps head, sea mullet and pompano were caught. Pictured is Mark Lamphier from Fredericksburg VA with a 6 lb 13 oz sheepshead caught on the Frisco beach today.
The inshore boats caught more cobia, bluefish, puppy drum and big red drum and spanish mackerel in and around Hatteras Inlet. The offshore boats had lots of gaffer dolphin, a few blackfin tuna, wahoo and grouper off the bottom. One blue marlin was released.
