Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
We hope everyone has enjoyed their Memorial Day! It was a warm 85F today. We have had winds in every direction today. It started off this morning out of the west around 10 mph and will end up out of the south-south-east around 5 mph.
The cobia bite off the Pier is just getting started. There was at least one yesterday and one today. There were three cobia caught yesterday in Buxton. Today there were sea mullet and puppy drum there. Frisco had some sea mullet.
The inshore boats caught puppy drum, bluefish, spanish mackerel and a few cobia.
The offshore boats had good catches of blackfin tuna, gaffer and bailer dolphin and a few wahoo. Those that fished the bottom caught grouper, tilefish and triggerfish. There was a blue marlin release today as well.
