Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today was calm with more humidity. The winds were from the south at 5 mph and the temperatures were around 90 degrees.
Today there were some spanish mackerel and puppy drum out at Cape Point in Buxton. Over on the Frisco beach a few pompano and sea mullet were reported. Down at Hatteras Inlet sea mullet and flounder were caught.
The inshore boats caught puppy drum and big drum, croaker and speckled trout in the Pamlico Sound today.. There were spanish mackerel and bluefish reported out side Hatteras Inlet today.
The offshore boats had real good dolphin action. Good yellow fin tuna catches and a few sailfish were released.
Today was the 5th day of the 58th Annual Hatteras Marlin Club Blue Marlin Release Tournament. There were 2 blue marlin and 11 sailfish released today.
