Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Beautiful Saturday on the island! High for today was 81F with partly cloudy skies and winds out of the NW at an average of 3mph. Looks like a bit of the same for tomorrow with winds picking up slightly out of the West.

Avon beaches reported puppy Drum, Sea Mullet and Bluefish. Buxton had Pompano, Puppy Drum and some Bluefish. Here in Frisco off of ramp 49 we had a mixed bag of Pompano, Sea Mullet, Flounder, Bluefish and puppy Drum. Puppy Drum in Hatteras as well.

Lots of puppy Drum reportedly caught in the sound here in Frisco as well.

No offshore report, boats stayed at the dock to high seas.

Inshore boats did very well with Red Drum. Many had both slot sized keepers and a bunch of larger released.
