Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Saturday turned out to be a nice fall temp day. High for today was 63F with winds out of the NE at 10mph this evening. Looks like the wind will pick up Sunday afternoon and will be out of the South.

Lots of Sea Mullet action north of Buxton today. Sharks and puppy Drum at the point today. Slow day with no report off of ramps 48 and 49. Ramp 55 had scattered puppy Drum.

Rodanthe Pier– Puppy Drum

Avon Pier– no reports as of time of post

Some boats out of Hatteras did venture offshore today and brought back King Mackerel. Some Blackfin Tuna and various bottom fish were caught as well.

Inshore boats reported catches of Red Drum and Gray Trout.
