Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island

Not a bad day here today with a high temperature of 66F. Winds right now are out of the NE at 16mph.

Rough surf made for less than favorable fishing condition. Only heard of a couple of Sea Mullet being caught.

A lot of the offshore boats out of Hatteras were fishing in the Hatteras Village Offshore open. At the end of the day today, 11 Blue Marlin were caught and released. One was brought back to the docks to be weighed in.

Congratulations to the boat Top Dog for weighing in a 502lb Blue Marlin.

Inshore boats trolled along the beach and caught Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish and also jigged for some Amberjack.

Some that fished the sound brought back limits of keeper Red Drum and Bluefish.
