Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Hot, humid and the beaches were packed here in Frisco today. Our high temperature was 85F with winds out of the South right now at 14mph. Get out and fish tomorrow because good old Elsa will bring winds and rain to the region on Thursday.

Good sound fishing this morning. Kayak fishing produced Speckled Trout and puppy Drum here and in Avon.

Couple of puppy Drum were caught here off of ramp 49 earlier today.

Flounder caught and released off of the end of Pole Road early this morning.

Offshore boats released a few billfish and brought in Dolphin, Amberjack and Grouper.

Red Drum and Speckled Trout inshore today.

Z-Man TT5-27BPK6 Elaztech Trout Trick Swimbait, 5″, Pearl Blue Glimmer, 6/Pack

Developed and popularized by former tournament bass angler and saltwater guide Bob Sanders and now available in Z-Man’s exclusive 10X Tough ElaZtech® material, the TroutTrick is absolutely deadly not just on spotted seatrout, but also redfish, flounder, stripers, bass, and more! To fish the TroutTrick, simply give the rod two sharp twitches, then allow the bait to fall vertically to the bottom on a semi-slack line.
