Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Hope everyone enjoyed their day here on the island. Staying cool was the name of the game today. We had another day of balmy temps with 87% humidity. Our high temperature for the day was 88F. More of the same weather for tomorrow with a chance of rain in the evening.

Rough surf out there for the next couple of days. Be safe.

Rodanthe Pier- Sea Mullet and Croaker

Saw reports of Sea Mullet and Blacktip sharks up around ramp 38 earlier.

Some nice Spanish Mackerel just south of the point earlier.

Small Sea Mullet and Croaker here in Frisco

Offshore boats found Dolphin, Blackfin Tuna and a variety of bottom fish.

Calypso released a Sailfish, Good Times released 2 Blue Marlin and Hatteras Blue also released a Sailfish.

Tough day for inshore boats but they still managed to catch some Speckled Trout and Red Drum

Berkley GSSF1-AG Gulp Sand Crab Flea, 1″, 12Pk, Amber Glow

Looks, feels and smells like live sand crab/fleas. Match-the-hatch colors. More durable and longer lasting than live bait. Rapid scent dispersion attracts fish from greater range.
