Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Today was cooler than yesterday but it didn’t feel like it. The high was 80 around 1pm today. Winds have been from the NE/NNE all day. Currently it’s blowing 7mph. This morning at 8am there was still a 70% chance of rain but that didn’t happen. Although it did rain again around 3-4am. Tomorrow winds are switching to the NE/ENE and are gonna be a bit stronger than today. It’s looking like tomorrow the boats should stay at the docks because of this storm that’s passing by.

Catches in the surf included Bluefish, Puppy Drum, Sea Mullet, Spanish Mackerel, and Croaker.

On the sound side there was Puppy Drum and Speckled Trout.

Offshore boats got into Dolphin, Wahoo, and Blackfin Tuna. There was a release of a Barracuda as well.

Inshore boats limited out with Spanish Mackerel.
