Hatteras Island Fishing Report

High today was 82 but it was so humid it felt hotter. Winds have been all over the place. Currently it feels like 83 with winds at 14mph out of the S with gusts up to 20mph. Be careful if you’re on the beach because of dangerous rip currents.

As a lot of things in life go, Tropical Storm Colin caught us by surprise. What looked like some light rain per yesterday’s radar quickly ended up being wrong after a small change in course. Thankfully, tomorrow is looking better for tan lines and tight lines.

Surf catches included Red Drum, Bluefish, and Pompano.

Sound catches included Red Drum.

Inshore boats caught Red Drum and Speckled Trout.

Offshore boats caught Dolphin and Wahoo and released a White Marlin.
