Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Another sticky day with a high of 83. Temps have hovered around 80 all day and it currently feels like 78. Winds weren’t as intense as they were predicted to be but did get up to almost 12mph a few times. The wind direction has been all over the place today but recently has been out of the N/NNE. Currently it’s blowing 11.5mph out of the NNE with gusts up to 20mph. The rains been on an off today and it’s going to continue to be. Looks like the next big drops of rain are going to be around 5am.

Surf side catches included Red Drum, Sea Mullet, and Pompano.

Soundside catches included Speckle Trout.

Inshore boats caught Speckled Trout and Bluefish.

Offshore boats caught Dolphin and Blackfin Tuna and released a Sailfish. Not the best fishing day but they tried it anyways, sometimes that all you can do.
