Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Today’s high was 84. Winds have been light to moderate and SW. Currently it’s 80, feels like 85, with SW winds around 12mph. Gusts up to 18mph. Tomorrow’s temps look the same as today but winds look to be decreasing. Right now the radar for tomorrow looks clear but that could change just like today.

Water temp was between 82.2 and 83.5 today.

In the surf we’re hearing reports of Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish.

In the sound we’re heading reports of Speckled Trout and Sheepshead.

Inshore boats caught Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel, Bluefish, Speckled Trout, Red Drum, and Clams.

Offshore boats caught Wahoo and Blackfin Tuna along with Amberjack and Black Seabass. There was also a Sailfish release.
