Here is your Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks fishing report for Hatteras Island.
The weather was a little nasty today. The thunderstorms that were called for the last two weeks finally showed up and it rained for the majority of the day. Temperatures were in the high 70’s to the low 80’s. Winds were blowing out of the SW at 20-25 mph.
Beach fishing was as slow as it could be today. We didn’t hear of anything due to the nasty weather. Most fisherman decided to stay inside today.
No Inshore charters went out today due to weather.
Not many charters went offshore today. The few that did reported rough seas with a few dolphin in the mix. Two boats released sailfish today for the grand slam tournament: the Release, and the Marlin Mania.
The weather could be nasty again tomorrow. Forecast is calling for thunderstorms with a 40% chance of rain. The wind is supposed to switch to the west at 15-25 mph.
