Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

Today was nice and sunny.  We had south-west winds switching to the north at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid to upper 50’s.  The beach was nice today but no fish to speak of.  Today was the first day of the ORV permit.  They say that there will be a one month transitional period before any tickets will be written.  The NPS say they will just warn you, but after March 15th they will be more strict.  Offshore fishing today was real good.  Lots of bluefin tunas around and a good sign of yellowfin tuna.  The killer whales and humpback whales made a nice showing today out in the bluewater.
