Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

The skies were sunny today.  We had south-west winds 10-15 mph switching to the east north-east at 10 mph and the temperatures were right around 70 degrees.  The beach fishing has really picked up today.  The Frisco beach had nice sea mullets and lots of blow toads today.  Down on the Hatteras beaches lots of blow toads, a few sea mullet and puppy drum and one flounder caught.  The inshore boats caught the big drum today.              Offshore fishing was really good today.  The boats that went up the line caught bluefin tuna and a few yellowfin tuna, also some dolphin mixed in.  One boat found a pallet floating and pulled 8 dolphin off of it.  The boats that went down the line had non stop blackfin tuna jigging.

The picture below aboard the “Godspeed” with a excellent catch of blackfin tuna on the jigs.
