Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island

Happy Friday! Hope everyone had a great start to the weekend. High temperature of 72F here on the island. Winds are out of the NE right now at 17mph.

Rough surf conditions made for a slow day.

Some Spanish Mackerel caught off 44 again earlier today.

The offshore boats out of Hatteras had a rough day but managed some fish. They brought back Blackfin Tuna, Wahoo and Dolphin.

Hatteras Fever II released another Blue Marlin today.

Inshore boats caught Bluefish, Speckled Trout and keeper Red Drum.

Yo-Zuri R1130HRH Crystal Minnow, 5 1/4″, 7/8 oz, Holographic Red Head, Sinking

Holographic finish attracts fish in low light or murky water conditions. The animated oversized 3D eyes and raised molded gill plates add to the realistic appearance. Works equally effective using a twitch stop go technique or with a steady retrieve. Stronger and sharper new treble hooks.

Fun Speckled Trout tournament coming up in July. Check out the Club’s website. www.capehatterasanglers.club

All fish must be caught anywhere from Oregon Inlet to Hatteras. Fish can be caught in the sound or the ocean. You can fish from the shore or kayak.
