Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Hot and humid today with a high temperature again around 86F. Chance of thunderstorms later tonight into tomorrow morning. We have winds out of the SW this evening at 15mph.

Just a friendly reminder to slow down and enjoy your stay here with us on this beautiful island.

On a brighter note, Sea Mullet, Croaker and scattered Pompano in Avon and Buxton today.

Pretty slow here in Frisco, but that’s a normal for this time of year.

Piers have been quiet as well.

Offshore boats out of Hatteras managed some Dolphin and Wahoo today.

Good Times released 2 Blue Marlin today! Nice job!

Inshore boats had a good day with Speckled Trout and some keeper Red Drum

Sea Striker SSP1BLK Planer Black Powder Coated Sz1

The PLANER takes your lure down deep without heavy sinkers. While in trolling position, the planer runs at 45¼ angle. When a fish is hooked, it returns to the surface. All sizes feature a rugged stainless steel blade and large brass ring to assure a clean trip. Sizes 1, 2, and 3 are packaged in bag with header. Suitable for pegboard or bulk display. Other sizes to be hung by ring or displayed bulk. Models 4 and 5 are also available braced. Deluxe planer is approximately 10″ long with a brace running across the bottom, tying the planer wire and blade together. This keeps your planer in tune and running straight.
