Hatteras Island Fishing Report

We had another beautiful day to end out the week here on the island. Our high temperature for the day was 75F. We have winds out of the NE this evening around 12mph. Looks like we have a beach hazard statement through Saturday evening for dangerous rip currents. PLEASE STAY OUT OF THE WATER

Rodanthe Pier- Spot and Spanish Mackerel

Honestly it was a slow day off the surf. Only heard of some Bluefish caught earlier today. Nice puppy Drum bite in the sound in Avon and Buxton however.

Offshore boats from Hatteras had a slow go as well. Bottom fish, some Dolphin, Wahoo and a few Blackfin Tuna. One Sailfish was also released.

Inshore boats did ok with Red Drum, Speckled Trout and a few Blues.
