Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:
Today the weather in Frisco was another sunny day. We had west south-west winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s. The Buxton beaches reported catches of bluefish and sea mullet. The Frisco beach had some nice pompano and spanish mackeral catches today. Down on the Hatteras beaches there were some sea mullet and bluefish caught. The inshore boats had real good spanish mackerel and bluefish with a decent catch of gray and speckled trout. Offshore today there were some nice size gaffer dolphin caught along with some good bottom fish. Sea bass, tilefish, grouper and snapper. Today the “Islander” boat out of Odens Dock in Hatteras won the ladies15th Keli Wagner Lady Angler tourney. They released two blue marlin and two white marlin to score the most points ever in this event. The Big Rock Tournament starts on Monday. Picture below is with the “Native Son” charter boat and their white marlin release.

For tournament fishing the Momoi X tra hard leader material is just what you need while chasing down blue marlin. With this monofilament producing a hard outer coating, it will resist abrasion for those applications where a stiffer leader is required.
