8-10-11 Outer Banks Fishing Report

Here is your Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

The weather was decent today. Temperatures were in the upper 80’s and winds blew 15-20 mph out of the southeast, with Mostly clear skies.

Beach fishing was actually pretty decent today.  We have heard of some scattered reports of a few different fish. The sea mullet were caught rarely today, yet the puppy drum fishing picked up. Also a few flounder and bluefish were caught on cut bait off of the bottom.

Inshore charter guides reported a decent day. Scattered speckled trout and bluefish were the main catches.

Offshore charters had a pretty good day also. Three billfish were reported. One sailfish caught by the Nancy K and Good Times. There was also a white marlin released by Sea Creature. The dolphin fishing was good, while the wahoo and amberjack bite were fair. The Carolina Girl reported of a decent catch of blackfin and skip jack tuna as well.

The weather is supposed to be a lot clearer tomorrow than it was today. Winds are supposed to switch to the NNE at 6 mph. The temperatures are supposed to stay relatively the same as it was today, in the high 80’s and low 90’s. There is only a 10% chance of rain as well.
