Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island: Today the weather in Frisco was mostly sunny. We had north winds 5-10 mph with the temperatures in the mid 50’s.
Fishing conditions were better today with the winds calmer. A few puppy drum were caught on the Avon, Buxton, Frisco and Hatteras beaches. Some bluefish and a speckled trout were caught on the Frisco beach.
A few boats fished offshore today and they caught a few yellowfin and blackfin tuna with a scattered dolphin bite. A bunch of false alabacore were in the mix too.
From the NCDOT: Weather permitting, NCDOT plans to open N.C.12 to four-wheel drive traffic by noon on Saturday, Nov. 10. Initially, these vehicles will only have access to one lane of the highway and Bonner Bridge, and in some parts, they will travel over sand. In addition, NCDOT will close the four-wheel drive route from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for the first few days to ensure motorist safety during the overnight hours. Once crews open both lanes of the temporary bridge, the department will allow four-wheel drive traffic 24 hours per day.
