Hatteras Island Fishing Report

High of 88 again. Real feels into the upper 90s. Winds have been gentle to moderate today, a bit rough in the water at some points. Directions have flopped between WSW and SW. Currently it’s 80, feels like 86, with SW winds around 13mph. Gusts up to 18mph. Tomorrow’s temps are predicted to be slightly lower than today but winds are predicted to be higher. Be prepared for rain tonight and tomorrow, it’s calling for it around midnight and then tomorrow evening.

Water temp was between 81.5 and 84.2 today.

In the surf we heard of Pompano and Croakers. Ramp 55 seems to be the place to get the Pomps lately.

Soundside didn’t give us a report today.

Inshore boats hauled in Speckled Trout, Red Drum, Bluefish, and Sheepshead.

Offshore boats slung Dolphin, Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna, and Barracudas. There was also a release of a Sailfish.

HUK Icon X Tide Change Fade Shirt

The Huk ICON X Tide Change Camo Fade Shirt, featuring our new exclusive camo pattern, is the most technically advanced performance fishing shirt designed for hardcore anglers. This breathable material spreads moisture over a larger surface area, creating a rapid drying effect that cools the body after coming into contact with perspiration. The synthetic fibers allow air to pass through the shirt and contain a hydrophobic coating that transports sweat to drier areas, away from the skin.
