Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

It was sunny today with calm winds.  The winds were from the north-west 5-8 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 40’s.

The Hatteras- Ocracoke Ferry is back up and running.  They are using an alternative route which will take 60-70 minutes to cross until the primary route is finished.

Down on the Hatteras beach a few puppy drum were reported along with some sea mullet.   We still have some dog sharks on the Frisco and Hatteras beaches.

No boats fishing inshore and but the weather and offshore fishing was good today.  The blackfin tunas were biting well so were the alabacore.  A few yellowfin tunas were caught by some boats and the bluefin tunas made a showing for just a few boats way to the north-east.  Below is one of the bluefin tunas caught by the “Bite Me” charter boat today.
