Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had sunshine and gusty winds.  The winds were from the  south-west at 10-20 mph and the temperatures were in the low 70’s.

Today the beaches were a bit rougher but the fishing was still pretty good.  There were sea mullet and blow toads caught along the Buxton beaches.  Over ramp 49 in Frisco we had one customer that caught about 25 blow toads around low tide by wading out to cast past the sand bar.  There were also some sea mullet and black drum caught.  Down on the Hatteras beach there were sea mullets and blow toads caught.  I did hear a report of some big bluefish being caught down near Hatteras Inlet.

Some good puppy drum fishing was reported on the inshore boats in the Pamlico Sound today.  No boats fished offshore today due to the weather conditions
