Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today we had a warm and mostly sunny day. The winds were from the east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 70’s.
The fishing today was decent with some nice bluefish caught on the Buxton beach. Blow toads and sea mullet were reported on the Buxton, Frisco and Hatteras beaches.
The inshore boats had real good puppy drum fishing today. The offshore boats had an exciting day with some billfish action. Two blue marlin a white marlin and sailfish were released today. A 58 lb grouper was brought up from the bottom. Good dolphin fishing, a few blackfin tuna and some wahoos were caught along with amberjacks. The picture below is the “Sea Creature” charter boat with their blue marlin catch today.

The Bonze UV Ice Series Jackhammer is an excellent choice for blue marlin catching. The baby brother of the Violator and Behemoth it has had a lot to live up to and it has not let the family down. With it’s heavily weighted insert and scalloped face it has just enough wiggle to cause trouble!
