Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had another nice and sunny day.  The winds were from the south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

The Buxton beaches had nice size sea mullet and a few pompano.   Out at Cape Point there were spanish mackerel, a few cobia, a few big red drum and sharks reported.    The Frisco beach had some sea mullet, bluefish, pompano and puppy drum.  Down on the Hatteras beach there were some big drum, sea mullet, bluefish and pompano caught.

The inshore boats had good catches of bluefish and spanish mackerel.  Some decent catches of cobia were reported as well.

The offshore boats had a good day of dolphin fishing.  A few yellowfin and blackfin tuna were caught along with grouper and a white marlin and a blue marlin were released.
