Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today was sunny and warm. The winds were from the south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.
The Buxton beaches had sea mullet, bluefish and pompano. Out at Cape Point the spanish mackerel and bluefish bite was pretty good, with some sharks and skates mixed in. The Picture below is the spanish mackerel catch this morning by Eric Partin and family from Cape Point. Pretty work guys!!!
The Frisco and Hatteras beach had some sea mullet, bluefish, pompano and sheeps head.
The inshore boats had good catches of spanish mackerel and some good catches of cobia. The Pamlico Sound produced some nice speckled trout and some puppy drum.
The offshore boats had a good day of dolphin fishing and a few blackfin tuna. Today’s billfish bite was better today with 4 blue marlin, 2 white marlin and a sailfish released. The “Swordfish” charter boat released 3 blue marlins today.
