Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had sunny skies. The winds were from the south-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were around 90 degrees.  

On the Buxton beach today there were sea mullet and puppy drum caught.  Out on the Frisco beach some sea mullet, puppy drum and pompano were caught.   The Hatteras beach had a few sea mullet and pompano today.  The picture below is Roz Lyn Miller, age 6 with a 1 lb 1 oz sea mullet caught today on the Frisco Beach.  Pretty work Roz!!!

The inshore boats caught some big red drum. puppy drum and speckled trout in the Pamlico Sound today.  The spanish mackerel and bluefish showed up along the beaches today.  The offshore fishing was real good today.  Some good catches of dolphin and wahoo and a few blackfin tuna were reported.   We had real good marlin action today with 6 sailfish, 5 blue marlin and a white marlin were released.
