Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today we had sunny skies with temperatures in the upper 80’s. The winds were from the east around 5-10 mph.
The fishing at Cape Point was pretty good today with spanish mackerel and bluefish caught on lures. Over on the Frisco beach a few pompano, sea mullet and bluefish were reported. Down on the Hatteras beach and Inlet there were some spanish mackerel, sea mullet, pompano and bluefish.
Today on the Avon Pier John Cain caught and released a sailfish while live bait fishing. They said pictures are to follow. I will certainly post when I get them.
The boats that fished inshore caught some speckled and gray trout and bluefish in the Pamlico Sound. More good catches bluefish and spanish mackerel just outside the Inlet.
The offshore boats had good wahoo fishing with a few dolphin and blackfin tuna caught. 5 sailfish were released. Below is the “Good Times” charter boat with one of their wahoo catches today.

The C&H Wahoo Whacker Feather lure is deadly on Wahoo. The Wahoo feather was tested for over two years and earned its place in the C&H line of big game lures. The feather can be used plain or combination with dead bait like select size ballyhoo. The lure works great at eight to nine knots.
