Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had sunny skies with just a few light rain showers early this morning. .  The temperatures were in the upper 80’s.  The wind was out of the south-west at 5-10 mph.

Starting tomorrow is the Hatteras Village Civic Association Surf Fishing Tournament.  Good Luck to all participants.

Today on the Buxton beach bluefish, puppy drum and sea mullet were reported  Out at Cape Point bluefish and spanish mackerel and a few puppy drum were caught.  The Frisco beaches had reports of spanish mackerel.  Hatteras had a pretty good day with bluefish, pompano, sea mullet and flounder

The inshore boats had puppy drum, speckled and gray trout and bluefish caught in the Pamlico Sound.  The spanish mackerel and bluefish bite was good just outside Hatteras Inlet.  The offshore fleet had another slick calm day decent yellowfin tuna , a few black fin tuna, good wahoo and scattered dolphin fishing. 2 sailfish and a blue marlin were released.
