Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today we had heavy rain all day with lots of wind. The winds were from the north-east switching to the north north-west at 15-25 mph with gusts to 40 mph. The temperatures were in the low 50’s. This low pressure is still pounding Hatteras Island. There is some soundside flooding in Hatteras village and a little in Frisco. The ocean has over washed a little bit on the north end of Buxton around the motels. I’m sure Mirlo Beach in Rodanthe has some ocean over wash as well at times of High Tide.
The ocean was extremely rough with the seas in the 13-19 foot range. The water was up to the dune line on the Frisco Beach. This made the choice not to fish easy.
There is no inshore or offshore report for today.
