Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was a much nicer day.  We had sunny skies with the winds from the west switching to the north-east in the afternoon at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the low 50’s.

This Monday the Oregon Inlet bridge will be closed at 9am for about 30 minutes to do a Sonar Scan to check the condition of the bridge.

The swell has calmed a lot today.  The water is still dirty near the beaches and only a few puppy drum reported out at Cape Point in Buxton today.  .

There is no inshore report today.  The offshore report was much better today.with tilefish and grouper caught from the bottom.  The bluefin tuna made a showing today with the “Bite Me” charter boat catching two in the 80 inch range weighing a dressed weight of 275 lbs. and 248 lbs.  Pretty work guys.
