Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today we had sunny skies with less wind. The winds were from the west south-west at 9-12 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.
The Avon, Buxton and Frisco beaches had reports of a few sea mullet caught. Out at Cape Point in Buxton the spanish mackerel made a showing on lures and a few yearling drum and big red drum were landed for those who chose to make the long walk. The picture below is Josh Howard of Frisco with a nice Red Drum he caught while fishing Cape Point in Buxton today. Pretty work Josh!!
The inshore boats caught lots of puppy drum today while fishing the Pamlico Sound. The offshore fleet had excellent gaffer dolphin fishing with good black fin tuna catches and some nice bottom fish, grouper and tilefish.
