Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today was mostly cloudy skies with a high of 77F. We had light north winds this morning, switching to the south-east this afternoon, then to the east tonight.
Avon beach had spot, sea mullet and croaker. Buxton beaches had sea mullet and pompano. Frisco beach had sea mullet, pompano and black drum. Hatteras beach had reports of bluefish, sea mullet and a 53inch cobia.
The inshore boats caught puppy drum today.
It was a good day to go offshore. The boats came back to the dock with good catches of gaffer dolphin and blackfin tuna, gray tilefish and grouper. Flags were flying high, lots of billfish releases. There were quite a few white marlins and a sailfish released. Pictured below is the Bite Me with one of their white marlin releases.
Pictured below is Good Times with Beverley Harding with her 50lb grouper.
