Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

The winds were from the south-west at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.  Up on the Avon beach some nice spanish mackerel, bluefish and some flounder were caught.  Around the Buxton beaches a  few spanish mackerel, blue fish and some sea mullet were caught.  Over on the Frisco beach a nice puppy drum and a few pompano were caught.  A nice 27 in puppy drum caught my Francis Kennedy tonight from the Frisco Beach.

The inshore boats are catching spanish mackerel and red drum, with a few cobia mixed in.  The picture below is from the “Adventure”  charter boat with a nice cobia.  .

The offshore boats are catching lots of dolphin, some nice class of yellowfin tuna, a few wahoo and black fin tuna.  There were a few white marlin and a couple of Blue marlin and sailfish released.
