Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today was a cloudy, but overall nice day here on Hatteras Island. We reached a high of 73F today. The winds were light this morning, but increased in the afternoon, blew out of the southeast 10-15 mph, even some gusts up to 20.
Sea mullet and blow toads are being caught from Avon to Buxton today. There was a nice puppy drum caught off Ramp 44 today. Cape Point had dogsharks and skates. Frisco started out with dogsharks this morning. By the afternoon, flounder were being caught. No keepers that I heard of though. No report from Hatteras today. Pam Smith, secretary of the NCBBA, caught this nice puppy drum. Thank you NCBBA Facebook page for the picture
The offshore boats had a pretty good day. They had good catches of dolphin and blackfin tuna. A few nice size wahoo and scattered yellowfin tuna. Pictured below is “Marlin Mania” with a nice Wahoo they caught today!
