Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today was mostly sunny. We had north-east winds 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 70’s.
Up on the Avon beaches bluefish, sea mullet and a 43 in cobia were caught. The Buxton beaches had bluefish, spanish mackerel and pompano. Over on the Frisco beach bluefish, pompano, sheeps head, a few flounder and sea mullet were reported. On the beaches in Hatteras and near Hatteras Inlet nice pompano, bluefish, sea mullet, flounder and a 47 in cobia were caught.
The inshore boats had a decent day catching puppy drum in the Pamlico Sound and good cobia fishing just off the beaches.
The offshore boats had good gaffer dolphin and wahoo fishing. The blue marlin bite is still pretty good with multiples released today. A few nice grouperare being caught too.
