Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today we had light winds, sunny skies and warmer temperatures. The winds were from the north-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.
Up on the Avon beaches puppy drum and bluefish were caught. Around the Buxton beaches puppy drum and spot were caught. Out at Cape Point in Buxton puppy drum and bluefish were reported. Over on the Frisco beach puppy drum and flounder were caught. Down on the Hatteras beach bluefish, flounder and a couple of 22″ stripers were reported
The inshore boats had good puppy drum catches, some nice citation red drum action and bluefish and speckled trout were scattered.
The offshore boats had good wahoo fishing and a few dolphin and blackfin tuna. The bottom fishing was good with vermilion snapper and trigger fish caught.
