The high today only got up to 83. It was a nice cooler day aside from the smoke haze flowing over from Hyde County. Winds today stayed around 10mph and were out of the NW/WNW for the first half of the day. For the latter half of the day winds were out of the NE/ENE. Currently the wind is hovering around 4.5mph out of the E.
In the surf there were nice Pompano and Sheepshead. Some citation sized. There were also catches of Red Drum.
No report from the sound.
Offshore boats brought in nice Dolphin, Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna, and some bottom fish. There were several billfish releases today.
Inshore boats filled their coolers with Bluefish, Red Drum, and Clams.
