We had a high temperature of 77F today. Warm one here on the island. So far it looks like it will be a bit cooler tomorrow with more sunshine! Winds are out of the South tonight at 10mph.

Quiet day off of the surf.

Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna, Dolphin, King Mackerel and bottom fish were brought back to the docks by the offshore boats.

Cobia, Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish and Red Drum rounded out the catches for the inshore crews.

Sunny with a high temperature of 76F today. Thundershowers moving in currently. Looks like mostly sunny tomorrow with a high of 73. Right now we have winds out of the SW at 24mph.

Puppy Drum were the fish of the day today from Avon to Hatteras. Good catches of puppy Drum in the sound as well.

Offshore boats out of Hatteras today had a good day with Blackfin Tuna, Dolphin, a few Wahoo and scarce Yellowfin Tuna. Three Sailfish were released.

Speckled Trout, Red Drum and a few Sheepshead were caught by the inshore boats.

Welcome to what is playing out to be a beautiful week here on the island. We had a high temperature of 74F this afternoon. Partly cloudy for tomorrow with the same warm temps. Winds are out of the South tonight at 13mph.

Rodanthe Pier- lots of Bluefish caught

Avon reported puppy Drum

Nice run of Bluefish off of ramp 43 earlier today. Speckled Trout fishing is picking up in the sound as well.

Offshore boats headed out today from Hatteras and brought back Dolphin, Yellowfin Tuna, some Wahoo and Blackfin Tuna. One Sailfish was released.

Inshore boats brought back limits of Red Drum and a couple of Cobia.

“And just like that, it stopped raining.” Never thought we would see sunshine today but the miracle happened. Our high temperature hit a pleasant 72F. Winds finally died down to 13mph out of the East currently. Unfortunately we have a steady rain moving in overnight with thunderstorms lingering for Friday morning.

We were told there were some puppy Drum caught later in the afternoon today, so that’s good news.
