    The high got up to 86 with a real feel of 96. Winds did remain gentle all day but are still SW. They bounced between 4.5mph and 11mph. Tomorrow’s temps are predicted to be higher than today but may end up being about the same as today. The wind is predicted to be S/SE/SSE and gentle.

    Water temp was between 82.6 and 86 today.

    Offshore boats had another good day with Dolphin, Wahoo, and bottom fish. There was also a release of a Sailfish.

    Inshore boats had good luck with Speckled Trout and Bluefish again.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    High was 88 again. Winds have been gentle and SW. Currently it’s 80, feels like 87, with SW winds around 9mph. Tomorrow is looking the same as today but as long as the wind stays gentle I think all the fishermen will be happy.

    Water temp was between 84.6 and 86.4 today, quite warm.

    Unfortunately, no report from the surf or sound.

    Offshore boats slung in Wahoo, Dolphin, Blackfin Tuna, and bottom fish.

    Inshore boats hauled in Speckled Trout, Sheepshead, and Bluefish.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Today’s high was 88 but the real feel was up to 103. Winds have been mostly gentle and still SW. Currently it’s 80 but feels like 89 with SW around 7mph. Gusts up to 18.5mph. Tomorrow is looking similar to today in temps and winds.

    Water temp was between 83.1 and 85.5 today.

    Surf report included Gray Trout, Sea Mullet, Croaker, and Sharks.

    Sound report included plenty of Bluefish, Red Drum, and Speckled Trout.

    Offshore a lot of boats were happy to make it out. They had a good day bringing in Wahoo, Dolphin, and Bottomfish.

    We had a (pending) State Record Cubera Snapper come to the shop. We hope that it gets approved and they receive their State Record.

    Inshore boats had a nice day with Red Drum, Speckled Trout, Bluefish, and Clams.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    High today was 86. Real feel was 96. Winds have been gentle to moderate and SW for the most part. Tomorrow’s winds look to be decreasing so fingers crossed. The high for tomorrow is predicted to be 88 so prepare for it to be hotter than today.

    Water temp was between 83.3 and 85.1.

    Surf catches included Sea Mullet and Croaker.

    Sound catches included Speckled Trout and Red Drum. Right now a good time to catch Drum is in the evenings.

    Offshore boats came back with Dolphin and Wahoo.

    Inshore boats came back with Speckled Trout and Bluefish.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Today’s high was 84, not too bad of a day if it weren’t for the humidity and high heat index. Winds continued to be SW. They were moderate for most of the day but are currently gentle. It’s blowing 8mph out of the SSW and feels like 88. Tomorrow is looking very similar to today in both temps and winds.

    Water temp was between 81.5 to 83.8 today.

    We did not hear of anything from the surf or sound but at least the boats got some action.

    Offshore there was some Wahoo and Snapper caught.

    Inshore there were catches of Red Drum, Speckled Trout, Bluefish, and Sheepshead. Some of the Sheepshead were citation size.
