    Today was a bit chilly. The high got up to 58 while the low was 50. Winds have been light to gentle. Currently it’s 55, feels like 48, with WNW winds at 9mph. Tomorrow’s temps are predicted to be higher but we’ll see of they actually reach the predicted high of 64. Winds for tomorrow are going to be light to gentle and switching to the SW later in the day.

    Water temp was between 64.8 and 69.3 today.

    Must have been a slow fishing day because we’ve got no reports from the surf or sound.

    Inshore: Bluefish and Red Drum

    Offshore: Blackfin Tuna, Wahoo

    Today’s high was 77, low was 66. Winds have been light to moderate. Currently it’s 73, feels like 71 with SW winds at 16mph. Gusts up to 22mph.

    Offshore: They stayed tied to the docks due to the wind.

    Frisco Rod & Gun 3 Dogs Print

    The Frisco Rod and Gun family has had Chesapeake Bay Retrievers as their family and shop dogs for over 40 years now. We have featured Thunder, Rip, Gen, and Sailor on different store tee shirts and they have been the most popular of the designs we have had. Chesapeake Bay Retrievers have been a breed that has proven their worth in the waters around Cape Hatteras, often mascots of the United States Lifesaving Station crews and historically hardy duck hunting partners. Not only that, they have greeted and visited with our customers through the decades!  

    We would like to introduce our newest generation of Chesapeakes to you on our new design. Taffy with her deadgrass color coat is on the top and litter mates Sadie and Captain are side by side underneath with their dark brown coats. Born and bred in Eastern North Carolina, these three can be found enjoying their Hatteras Island lifestyle of duck hunting, playing on the beach, or going for boat rides in the Pamlico Sound. You may even catch them here hard at work in the store!

    Today’s high was 72, low was 57. Winds have been light and switching directions. Currently it’s 68, feels like 63, with SW winds at 9mph. Tomorrow will bring higher temps, almost to 80, with light to gentle winds.
