The high got up to 88 with a real feel of 97. Winds have been gentle and SW/WSW/SSW. Currently it’s 80, feels like 86, with SSW winds around 9mph. Tomorrow is looking to be about the same as today but as long as the fishing is still good I’m sure everyone’s pretty okay with it. It’s been hot but sometimes the fishing is hotter.
Water temp was between 84 and 86.5 today.
A little quieter in the surf today, only heard of Pompano at Ramp 55 and Frisco Bathhouses.
In the sound Speckled Trout and Bluefish are still being caught, but not as much today as yesterday.
Inshore boats had a killer day. They were into the Red Drum, Speckled Trout, Spanish Mackerel, AND Cobia. Cobias decided to show up again after being MIA for a little while and made anglers quite happy. Additionally, the shrimping was just as good today as the clamming was the other day.
Offshore boats also had a great day on the water. They brought back Wahoo, Dolphin, and Blackfin Tuna. The kicker is the Wahoo have been hogs lately, some of them being citation sized. Releases today included a White Marlin and a Sailfish.
