Avon Pier- Sea Mullet and a bunch of big Red Drum

Avon beaches had more citation size Mullet, Bluefish and puppy Drum

All quiet on this end of the island. Surf should calm down a bit tomorrow and Tuesday and we’ll see some action on this end of the sandbar.

One boat went offshore today. The Release caught a Wahoo and limits of Dolphin.

Not a bad day at all here on the island. Little spouts of rain in the early afternoon turned to clear skies this evening. Our high temperature here in Frisco was 68F. We have winds out of the West at 19mph this evening.

Looks like a pleasant start to the week for weather. Hope it keeps up for the tournament later in the week as well.

Lots of puppy Drum caught off the surf today from Nags Head to Buxton. Everything else has been quiet. Surf is still a bit rough, with dangerous rip currents forecasted through Sunday evening. Be careful out there.

Plenty of fresh bait here at the shop. Come on in and we’ll get you what you need. We’re open 6am to 9pm daily.

Mother nature was not happy today! Ugly, torrential downpours early on today with windy conditions made for a soggy end to the week. Our high temperature did make it to 77F however. Winds are out of the SW this evening at 24mph. Looks like some rain tomorrow afternoon, but not like today.

All hope was not lost for fishing today. The Rodanthe Pier had some nice Red Drum, puppy Drum, Sea Mullet and Bluefish caught very early on this morning.

Couple of puppy Drum at the point as well.

Hope the swell dies down a bit so the weekend won’t be a washout on the surf.

Not a bad day here for weather. We had a high temperature of 70F. Winds are out of the East this evening at 15mph. Strong winds and rain moving in tomorrow. High surf advisory in effect. Stay dry and be careful of wash over.

Rodanthe Pier- puppy Drum, Sea Mullet, Spot and Black Drum earlier in the day

Avon Pier- some larger Red Drum caught this morning.

Looks like the Avon beaches are still the hot place to go. Large citation Sea Mullet on the beaches again today.

No reports from Frisco or Hatteras beaches today.

Sunny but brisk day with the winds. Our high temperature made it to 66F. Winds are currently out of the North at 20mph. Winds will be slowing down a bit tomorrow and staying out of the North for the most part.

Spotty fishing off the surf today with reports from Frisco of a mixed bag of small size fish. Gray Trout, Pompano, Flounder, Sea Mullet and puppy Drum were caught off of ramp 49.

Heard of a couple larger Red Drum caught off of ramp 55 as well.

NO offshore report today.

Handful of inshore boats went out catching large Bluefish and some Red Drum.
