• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Welcome all visitors to a new week of adventures here on the Outer Banks! We hope you enjoy your stay. Our high temperature for today was a steamy 88F. Right now we have winds out of the SW at 14 mph. Looks like some scattered thunderstorms in the am tomorrow.

    Sea Mullet, Croaker, Pompano and some Bluefish up in Avon today.

    Still some Spanish Mackerel hanging around at the point.

    Quiet day here in Frisco again.

    Great day offshore for the boats out of Hatteras. They caught Wahoo, Dolphin, some Blackfin Tuna, Barracuda and some Snowy Grouper.

    Two Blue Marlin and one Sailfish were also released.

    Inshore boats did well with Spanish Mackerel, Speckled Trout, Bluefish and some Red Drum

    Happy Friday! Here’s to closing out another wonderful week for vacationers and residents alike! We hope you enjoyed your stay here on the island. Today’s high temperature was 86F. Winds are out of the SW at 16mph.

    Spanish Mackerel at the point again today

    Sea Mullet, Blues and Croaker up in Avon.

    Quiet off the surf here in Frisco and Hatteras.

    Offshore boats today reported Dolphin, Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna and Tilefish

    Inshore boats had a great day with Speckled Trout and Red Drum.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Today’s weather report was HOT, real hot, but it wasn’t raining. High temperature of 86F with a heat index of 104F. Felt like a wall hit you as you walked out the door.! We currently have winds out of the SW at 16mph. Looks like more of the same weather for tomorrow as well. Stay hydrated and wear your sunscreen.

    Surf has been a bit slow today. Spanish Mackerel at the point again today along with some sharks.

    Some small Spot off the beach here in Frisco.

    The offshore boats out of Hatteras had a good day with Wahoo and also some Dolphin.

    Near shore boats did well trolling for Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish.

    Inshore boats found Speckled Trout and slot Red Drum.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Well, we have made it to Wednesday. So far we have had a beautiful week here on the island. Big improvement from last week. Our high temperature for today was 86F with winds out of the South currently at 18mph. Going to be a hot one tomorrow with real feel temps near 104F. Stay hydrated while you are out enjoying our beaches.

    Small Pompano and Croaker up in Avon today.

    Lots of Spanish Mackerel caught at the point throughout the day. ES Lures and Shore Lures were the ticket.

    Offshore boats came back with Dolphin and some Wahoo.

    Inshore boats trolled around the inlet and caught Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish. Boats in the sound brought back Speckled Trout and Red Drum.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Another warm August day here on the island. Our high temperature in Frisco today was 86F. Currently we have winds out of the SW at 15mph.

    Only activity off the surf we heard of was just north of the point at ramp 44. Saw some nice size Pompano and some Sea Mullet caught there.

    Quiet down here on this end.

    Dolphin and Wahoo were the catches of the day offshore.

    Sea Creature and Carolina Girl both released a Sailfish.

    The inshore boats again caught Spanish Mackerel , Speckled Trout and some Red Drum
