• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Another beautiful day here on the island to get out and enjoy yourself. We had a high temperature this afternoon of 82F. Looking at winds out of the SW right now at 7mph. Tomorrow looks like a repeat of the same weather.

    Some really nice Pompano caught off of ramp 43 earlier today.

    Larger Sea Mullet caught here in Frisco.

    Avon Pier- nice size Spanish Mackerel caught earlier today

    Offshore boats out of Hatteras had a good day with Dolphin and some Blackfin Tuna

    Inshore boats caught Red Drum and Speckled Trout


    End of day 4 of the tournament, Natural is still in the lead with the biggest overall Marlin.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Turned out to be a beautiful day here on the island. Started off muggy but settled down to a warm 82F. No rain today and winds right now are out of the South at 7mph.

    Nice Pompano and a puppy Drum caught up off of ramp 44 this morning.

    Quiet here in Frisco.

    A bunch of nice Spanish Mackerel were caught earlier today down off of ramp 55 in Hatteras.

    Speckled Trout are still biting in the sound.

    Rodanthe Pier- nice King Mackerel just caught

    The offshore boats out of Hatteras today brought back limits of nice Dolphin and a few Blackfin Tuna.

    Gambler released a Blue Marlin

    Calypso released a Sailfish

    Inshore boats had a good day on the water today as well. They brought back Speckled Trout and keeper size Drum.

    Nearshore boats were catching Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel and Cobia.


    As of right now for day 3 of the tournament, Natural is still in the lead with the biggest overall Marlin.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Rain throughout most of the day today with a high temperature of 82F. We have winds out of the North this evening at 10mph. Slight chance of rain tomorrow with a high temperature around 79F.

    Quiet day off the surf today due to the rain. Nothing reported here at the shop.

    Offshore boats out of Hatteras made it out and caught some Dolphin and a few Blackfin Tuna.

    Chaser released a Blue Marlin.

    Nearshore boats did well with Spanish Mackerel.

    Inshore boats had a good day with Speckled Trout, Red Drum and a few Spanish Mackerel.


    159 boats participated in the Big Rock Tournament today on day 2. NATURAL is the new overall largest Blue Marlin leader with one weighing in at 521.6 pounds.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island

    We had a gorgeous Monday here in Frisco with a high temperature this afternoon of 82F. Winds right now are out of the SW at 11mph. Looks like a slight chance of rain tomorrow with the winds remaining out of the SW for most of the day.

    Rodanthe Pier- Croaker, Sea Mullet, Spot, Blues, Spanish Mackerel and one nice Blacktip shark.

    Still Sea Mullet here in the surf off of ramp 48 and 49.

    Spanish Mackerel earlier this morning down off ramp 55 in Hatteras.

    Offshore boats ventured out today and were rewarded with a lot of Dolphin and some Blackfin Tuna.

    Hatteras Fever and Bite Me both released a Blue Marlin today. Calypso released a White Marlin.

    Inshore boats are still doing good with Speckled Trout and some Red Drum.

    Following Seas is on top of the leader board for the first day of the BIG ROCK Tournament with a 448.8 pound Blue Marlin

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island

    Nothing but rain today here in Frisco. High temperature for today was 76F. Winds are out of the NE right now at 17mph.

    Fishing was slow here today due to the rain.

    If you got out before the storms there were some Spanish Mackerel caught at ramp 45.

    A puppy Drum and some Sea Mullet were caught here off of ramp 49.

    Real nice Speckled Trout was weighed in at over 5lbs tonight at the shop.!

    Only one inshore boat headed out today and they found Red Drum.
