• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

     

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    It was a beautiful day across Hatteras Island.  We had temperatures in the upper 60’s and winds were light this morning, increasing this evening out of the ESE at 10-16 mph.

    The Point had a good bite of big drum last night, 30+ .  Today there have been some bluefish and drum caught in Buxton, the jetties had a few speckled trout.  Avon had some drum caught up there.  Hatteras had puppy drum and flounder. There were a few pompano caught today as well and sea mullet have been caught up and down the beaches.  Some folks fished the sound side and caught speckled trout.**Just remember Flounder Season is CLOSED**

    The inshore boats caught bluefish, speckled trout, sheepshead and gray trout.

    The king mackerel bite was the word for the few boats that went offshore today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

     

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was sunny with a high around 62F.  The winds were out if the north at 5-10 mph.

    Avon is reporting sea mullet and a big drum today.  Buxton had reports of bluefish and drum.  Here in Frisco we had a nice sea mullet bite.  Hatteras had some sea mullet, puppy drum, pompano and flounder.  **Just remember Flounder Season is CLOSED**

    The inshore boats stayed to the docks today.

    The king mackerel bite was good for the boats that went out today.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had temperatures in the mid 60s with very little wind.

    Avon is reporting sea mullet and bluefish today.  Buxton had reports of a big drum at the Point, bluefish and croaker, sea mullet and puppy drum.  Here in Frisco we had  puppy drum, sea mullet, bluefish, flounder and pompano.

    There were a few inshore boats that went out today.  They caught speckled trout.

    The offshore fleet live baited for king mackerel and also caught mahi( bailer and gaffer), wahoo, and blackfin tuna.  There was one sailfish release today.

    Today we had temperatures in the low 60s. The winds were out of the NNE at 10mph.

    There were some yearling Drum caught at Cape Point.

    The inshore boats stayed at the dock today.

    The offshore fleet live baited King Mackerel and also caught Mahi( bailer and gaffer), Waho, and Blackfin Tuna.

    Today we had temperatures around 76º and the winds were SSW at 15-23mph gusting to 30mph.

    No beach report today

    Inshore had some Red Drum, Speckled Trout, and Flounder.

    The offshore fleet stayed at the dock due to weather.
