    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was just a beautiful day. We had temperatures in the lower 70’s with light south-south-west winds.  Tomorrow should be more of the same, but with a little bit stronger winds.

    Avon beach had sea mullet and blow toads today.  Buxton and Frisco had sea mullet and blow toads as well.  Hatteras had some blow toads, sea mullet, small bluefish and a few flounder.

    The inshore boats had a good day fishing.  There were some big drum caught and bluefish.  For those that ventured futher out, it was worth it, they caught triggerfish, sea bass and a couple of cobia.  One weighing in at 73lbs, the other 30 lbs.  The first picture is a couple of nice big drum caught and released on Tightline Charters.  The second photo is the 73lb cobia caught on Bak Bar Sportfishing Charter.  Nice fish guys!!

    The offshore boats had catches of blackfin tuna, a couple of yellowfin tunas, some dolphin and wahoo.  There were some marlin and spearfish seen today!

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had clear skies and cooler temperatures.  With the winds blowing a steady north-north-east anywhere from 7 to 17 mph, made it feel a little cool this morning.  The sun warmed it up a little with highs around 63F today.

    Avon beach is reporting a few sea mullet.  Buxton reports a nice mix today.  They had catches of bluefish, sea mullet, blow toads and gray trout.  Frisco had catches of sea mullet, blow toads and a few small bluefish.  Pictured below is Gary Gordon with a citation  sea mullet, 1lb 13oz, caught here at Ramp 49.  Hatteras had catches of flounder, blow toads, sea mullet and bluefish.  Also pictured below is Nelson Meyerhoeffer, he caught this 48″ red drum in Ocracoke, early this morning.  Thanks for sharing your pic Nelson!

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had scattered showers and calm winds. The temperature was in the 70’s again today and the winds were from the North.

    The fishing picked up today for the 4-Plus tournament today From the beach in Avon there was sea-mullet, blow-toads, and grey trout. In Buxton there was bluefish, blow-toads, sea-mullet, and gray trout biting. Here in Frisco and down in Hatteras there was sea-mullet and blow-toads biting.

    Inshore today there was a good bluefish bite.

    Today offshore there was a good bite of the gaffer dolphin yellow-fin and black-fin tuna. The wahoo bite was scattered today.

    The crew on the Tuna Duck caught some nice dolphin and a few black-fins as well. Here is one of the gaffers that they caught.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Beautiful day here today. Rain showers were all around but we seem to stay dry somehow. The temperature was in the lower 70’s today. We had winds from the South-West at 5-10 mph.

    From the beach today the sea-mullet and blow-toads were everywhere from Avon to Hatteras.

    Offshore today there was a great bite from the gaffer dolphin. There was a good catch of yellow-fin and black-fin tuna. There was a few wahoo caught and a few marlin spotted.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today started out kind of cloudy but cleared up as the day went on. Temperature’s were in the upper 60’s. The winds were from the south at 5-10 mph.

    From the beach today the fishing was great. There was sea-mullet and blow-toads all along the beach from Avon to Hatteras today. In Buxton and Hatteras there was also some bluefish biting.

    Offshore today there was some good fishing.  The yellow-fin and black-fin tuna fishing was great today. Amberjack and dolphin were caught as well today. There were a few marlin spotted today also. from the bottom there was some black sea-bass and trigger fish biting.
